The introduction to Kevin Schwantz was delivered by American veteran racer, mentor and editor in chief of Roadracing World, John Ulrich.

John shared some photos and memories of Kevin from the very earliest days of his career, a fascinating insight and commentary on the man who was to become one of the greatest motorcycle racers in America.

We later presented John with our annual “Unsung Heroes” award which we give to people we find whose careers have been dedicated to the sport, making an enormous difference to participants and fans alike, but receive very little public acknowledgment.  John is the epitome of this award.
